Contest Research

I have found a really good website that post's contests all the time. The website is 'Worth1000.com'. Also you can view all the contests that have been and gone also with all the images that were entered into that category.

Here is an example of a contest and its requirements:

This is a website i've found which posts regular photoshop contests which i had to sign up to, to then be able to take part in there contests.

This image shows one of the contests i've chosen to enter. The theme is 'complex street light'. On the right it shows where you can download the source image, but i cant see where it says anything about what your allowed to do to it, from other peoples uploads it looks like you can do anything to this image. There is 2 days left to get your images posted on the contest before the votes.

The Source image

Final outcome

Here is my final outcome to what i did to the image i had to use. Took me roughly an hour and half to do.

as you can see here on the part iv drawn in red, it shows how many views i have had and how many votes i've had by people. My image has only been on there website for about 8 hours.

Here is another contest I've entered, below is the source image and what I have done with it:

Here you can see my image uploaded onto the website, on the right you can see how many votes I've got and how many views.

Original

Image I entered to a contest: Theme was shatter.

This is the image I entered to a contest:

This image surprisingly took a long time to create. Unfortunatly I dont have the original image, but it was basically a picture of a swimmer jumping into a river. I thought I would try to make it look like a sort of fantasy heaven type thing. So what I did was, took a couple photos of clouds off the internet and made the background, but changed the colour of it making it look fantasy. Then I put the image of the girl in, but to make her look like a fairy I had to get some wings from another fairy image on the internet and stick them on her and make them look right. Using some transform tools like warp, skew etc. Then I decided to change her cloths since a swim suit didnt really look the part. This was quite a long process since I had to find the right cloths and at the right angle, I then cut it out with the pen tool and stuck it on her. Then changed the colour of it. The same process sort of went with the hair, I had to find the right image and angle, I then cut it out, and pasted it a few times onto her since it wasnt quite the right angle. But I used the clone stamp several times to make it look right. Then I changed the colour of all the cloths and then put a glow and refelction on the clouds underneath her.

I wasnt that fond of this image and wasnt sure whether to include it in my work, I just dont think it looks very good/right.
